Visuals Workshop

This workshop series is intended to be a practical guidefor beginners to follow along and create, VJ and finally publish your animations. The workshop is only for Queer and/or BIPoC between 18 and 26 years. This Workshop is free of charge.

Day 1: Introduction to 3D Animation
Date: 24/5/2021
Time: 14:00-18:00
Location: Online

Details: We will create 3D visual loops in Cinema 4D + I will give some tips and tricks for animation, materials and rendering.


Day 2: Live Visuals and Mapping

Date: 05/06/2021
Time: 14:00-18:00
Location: BDP Haus - Am Hulsberg or Online (Optional, with hygiene concept and is possible to change depending on developments in Corona situation)

Details: VJing your animations, mapping controllers + setting up your project and screens for projection mapping


Day 3: Live Streaming

Date: 19/06/2021
Time: 14:00 - 18:00
Location Online: Setting up a live stream with your visuals and mixing with and between cameras.

Important Notice: This is a practical workshop so it would be a smoother experience for you if you have a working computer to follow along with that meets the recommended hardware especially for Day 1 (3D Animation) workshop. This is solely to avoid you frustration, if you would still find the workshop useful, you are still welcome.

Windows:
Windows 10 64-bit Version 1809 or higher
Intel 64-bit CPU or AMD 64-bit CPU with SSE3 support
8 GB RAM, recommended 16 GB

macOS:
macOS 10.14.6 or higher, macOS 10.15.7 is recommended due to a number of Metal enhancements which will improve the performance, stability and interaction with the viewport.
Intel-based Apple Macintosh or Apple M1-powered Mac
4 GB RAM, recommended 8 GB
